Massage therapy is one of the oldest methods of pain relief in the world. Massage has been proven to reduce muscle pain, frequency of headaches, improve quality of sleep and improve mood (along with many other benefits!).
How am I different from other
Licensed Massage Therapists?
I specialize in deep tissue therapeutic massage. This is useful for specific muscular and skeletal problems, in improving flexibility for all levels of athletes, and for simple everyday relaxation. I believe very deeply in the therapeutic benefits of massage therapy. I think every client who comes through my office door deserves to feel better when walking out, so I strive to discover the stressors in each individual in order to facilitate the body's self-healing mechanisms.

I believe this differentiates me from other spas and massage therapists in the area. Spas and wellness clinics may try to relax tissue and make you feel calmer, while I believe in the ability of massage therapy to solve specific problems. I emphasize the "therapy" in the name of my profession; this has lead me to extensive training in many different methods of pain relief and treatment. I firmly believe that your body will feel differently when your session is over, no matter the physical issue you were experiencing when you arrived.

I invite you to begin to discover the benefits of massage therapy for yourself.
Special Introductory Offer: First time clients may recieve a 60 minute session for the one-time discounted rate of $70!

Low Back/Hamstring Crossover Stretch
Many clients who come into my office for a massage complain about low back pain. This is the season for gardening, sports, and long vacation car rides. All of these, in addition to the simple act of sitting at a desk all day, can aggravate the low back. The low back (lumbar/sacral) area is complicated, because there are a lot of muscles that lie over each other, and which are difficult to stretch due to the proximity of the pelvis bone.

However, I do this stretch every day, a few times a day; before and after running, and before and after giving massages. It works to stretch not only the hamstrings, but most of the low back structures. It takes some time to master, but know that the intention of the stretch is what leads to increased flexibility. Don't be discouraged if you can't do this perfectly the first time, just keep trying!
